Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival in Arusha, you’ll be greeted by our friendly team and transferred to your hotel for a briefing on your upcoming adventure. Take this opportunity to rest and prepare for the journey ahead.

Day 2: Machame Gate to Machame Camp (Hike Duration: 5-7 hours)
Your trek begins at the Machame Gate, where you’ll enter the lush rainforest of Kilimanjaro. Ascend through a symphony of verdant foliage, spotting unique flora and fauna along the way, until you reach the Machame Camp nestled beneath the towering canopy.

Day 3: Machame Camp to Shira Camp (Hike Duration: 4-6 hours)
Traverse through the misty moorlands and heath zones as you ascend to the Shira Plateau. Marvel at the shifting landscapes and panoramic views of the surrounding valleys before reaching the Shira Camp, your home for the night.

Day 4: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp (Hike Duration: 6-8 hours)
Today’s trek takes you across the lunar-like landscape of the Shira Plateau, offering glimpses of the majestic glaciers adorning Kilimanjaro’s slopes. Descend into the picturesque Barranco Valley, where you’ll spend the night at Barranco Camp, nestled beneath the towering Barranco Wall.

Day 5: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp (Hike Duration: 4-5 hours)
Challenge yourself with a thrilling scramble up the Barranco Wall, rewarded with breathtaking views of the valley below. Traverse the alpine desert terrain to Karanga Camp, nestled on a rocky ridge with panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.

Day 6: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp (Hike Duration: 3-4 hours)
Ascend to Barafu Camp, the base camp for your final push to the summit. As you navigate the rocky slopes and glacial moraine, savor the anticipation of reaching the highest point in Africa.

Day 7: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp (Summit Duration: 7-8 hours; Descend to Mweka Camp: 4-6 hours)
In the early hours of the morning, embark on the exhilarating summit bid to Uhuru Peak, where you’ll be greeted by the first rays of dawn illuminating the vast African plains below. Celebrate your achievement before beginning the descent to Mweka Camp, where a well-deserved rest awaits.

Day 8: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate & Departure
Bid farewell to the slopes of Kilimanjaro as you descend through the lush rainforest to Mweka Gate. Receive your summit certificates before transferring back to Arusha, where you can reflect on your unforgettable journey to the Roof of Africa.
