Following an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater to explore its diverse wildlife. The crater, sustained by year-round water and lush vegetation, is home to wildebeest, zebras, buffalo, eland, warthogs, hippos, and elephants.
It also hosts a significant population of predators, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, which often requires a sharp eye to spot. The safari includes a visit to Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake located in the southwestern part of the crater. Here, you can typically observe flamingos, hippos, and other waterbirds.
In the late afternoon, you’ll be transferred back to Arusha for dinner, an overnight stay, or a drop-off at the airport. (Accommodation in Arusha can be arranged at an additional cost.)
